BIO
DJ Pike is a scenic and projection designer working across opera, theatre, musical theatre, dance, and film. His work blends architectural storytelling with cinematic imagery, creating immersive worlds that serve character, music, and emotional rhythm. With a foundation in theatrical design and a growing presence in opera, his visual language is bold, layered, and rooted in narrative precision.
Recent opera highlights include new productions of Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel that was performed at Wichita Grand Opera, Florida State Opera, University of Tennessee, and Opera in the Heights in Houston, TX. His production of Massenet’s Cinderella was performed at the University of Tennessee, Florida State Opera, and North Carolina Opera in Raleigh. In addition to his successful productions of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, The Magic Flute, and renderings and design support with Indianapolis Opera on The Barber of Seville, West Side Story, and Rigoletto.
In theatre, his work spans companies such as Nashville Repertory Theatre, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre, Clarence Brown Theatre, and Little Theatre of the Rockies, with productions including Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, AGentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Measure for Measure, Seussical, and Sunday in the Park with George. He also designed projections for Disney’s Frozen, A Christmas Carol, Almost Heaven, Something Rotten, and The Pirates of Penzance.
